Advancing Excellence in Palliative Care Education

Dover Park Hospice is committed to equipping healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills and experience to deliver high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care.

A Training Centre for Palliative Care

In partnership with the National Healthcare Group (NHG) and Nanyang Technological University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU LKCMedicine), Dover Park Hospice co-established the Palliative Care Centre for Excellence in Research and Education (PalC) in 2017 to advance palliative care education and research in Singapore.

We offer clinical attachments for medical and nursing students, as well as year-round training for doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. Some of the programmes we conduct include the Specialist Diploma in Palliative Care Nursing (with Ngee Ann Polytechnic and the National Cancer Centre).

Internally, weekly talks and tutorials are conducted to share new insights and developments for our staff so that they can constantly elevate their level of care and support for our patients.  Training sessions are also provided to help our volunteers better understand and care for our patients and their caregivers.
